Mastering the art of “retailtainment," restaurant chain Rainforest Cafe brings a colorful rain forest to life with Color Kinetics full spectrum digital lighting. The restaurant has created a mini jungle excursion, complete with a tropical light show occurring every 30 minutes -- made even more magnificent with Color Kinetics® iColor® Cove lighting. During the show, iColor Cove strips wash the ceiling with rich, vibrant subtly-changing hues, and iColor MR lamps add excitement and drama. Using an ETC Expression LPC lighting console, the distinctive tropical sky light show begins when the dark blue night sky is intersected with flashes of brilliant lightning. Once the storm passes, diners are treated to the vibrant colors of the setting sun and two variations of a Northern Lights show, with elegant, fluid color changes in the night sky. Afterwards, the rain forest is renewed with a golden sunrise, but not for long because another storm is rolling in and the show begins all over again!
